This character design was developed for the short film Alien Cafe. The story followed a young deaf man who, while ordering coffee at a café, was suddenly transported into an alien world. There, the aliens understood and accepted him more than the people in his own community.
The goal of the design was to make him look like a typical young man—quiet, shy, and non-confrontational—so the focus remained on his experience rather than his appearance. As a graphic designer, I used concept art and character-focused graphics and design to capture both relatability and subtle emotional depth. This project demonstrates my approach to storytelling through animation characters, illustration, and 3D art techniques.

Fighter Kites Short Fim Concept Art
This concept art was created for the short film Fighter Kites. The story imagined children using kites to shield their town from fighter jets during wartime. I illustrated the scene where the kites formed a barrier in the sky, experimenting with shape, size, and color to reflect each child’s individuality.
As a graphic designer, I focused on blending narrative-driven graphics and design with the visual impact of concept art. This project highlights my approach to storytelling through illustration, animation characters, and 3D art techniques.

Game Charater Emotes
These concept arts were created for a visual narrative game featuring a butcher character. The game required emotes for four core emotions—Neutral, Sad, Happy, and Angry—while adhering to a strict style guide to ensure visual consistency across all characters.
I designed the emotes with a muted, dreary color palette to align with the horror and murder mystery tone of the game. Subtle details, like the blood on the apron, reinforced his role while adding intrigue for the audience. This project reflects my ability to adapt graphics and design to specific genre styles while developing animation characters that fit seamlessly into a larger game world.

FemRobot
This design was concept art for a video game with two robot protagonists—one circular and female-coded, the other square and male-coded. My focus was on creating the circular female robot, using warm tones dominated by red to contrast with the cooler palette of the male character.
The game’s mechanics and visuals were simple and cartoonistic, similar to Fireboy and Watergirl, so I emulated that style while making her distinctly robotic. This project demonstrates my approach to character design, blending playful 3D art elements with cohesive graphics and design suited to interactive gameplay.

Mermaid Glow
This concept art explored a character idea and visual experiment for one of my Never Summer Snowboard designs. I wanted to create a glowing, bioluminescent mermaid to test how the effect might translate onto a snowboard surface.
While I ultimately took the final mermaid design in a different direction, this piece helped me refine the glowing tail effect and explore the deep-sea aesthetic. I later borrowed the fish design from this artwork and incorporated it as a focal point in the finished board. This project showcases how I use concept art and 3D modeling-inspired experimentation to develop fresh ideas in graphics and design.
